Meet Your Therapist
Hello! My name is Roshasta Brandon, and I am a LPC in the state of Texas. I am also a LMHC in the state of Washington. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Louisiana Tech University “Go Bulldogs!" in addition to a Master of Education in Counseling from UNT "Go Eagles!"
My counseling and coaching approach is compassionate and non-judgmental. My professional experience includes working in public education as a teacher and school counselor, private practice, and I have also worked as an intern at a teen homeless shelter. I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused treatment modalities with clients ages 18+. You can expect to learn about the mind-body connection and how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. We will explore family patterns and past experiences that have shaped you into the person you are today. We will work on creating new thoughts and behaviors that are more conducive to the life you want to create for yourself. I will help you to align with your heart’s deepest truths, which I believe is vital in helping you to live a life of happiness and authenticity. I aim to help you walk away from your time in therapy with a new, positive outlook on life and an embodiment of self-love.
My specialty areas include working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and self-esteem issues. I also support clients in the areas of trauma, life transitions, work-life balance, career goals, women empowerment, and finding clarity in life situations. I am an ally of equity, diversity, and inclusion and I provide high-quality mental healthcare and coaching to people of all walks of life.
In my spare time, I am reading about personal and spiritual development, singing youtube karaoke, watching Disney+, or enjoying extracurricular activities with my two children and husband. (Self-care is not selfish! It's necessary for mental wellness!)
